Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF)

This refers to a range of substances that naturally exist within the skin’s top layers, helping to keep it hydrated, healthy, and smooth. Ingredients in the NMF group include amino acids, lactic acid, peptides, sugars and minerals, and sodium PCA. They work in combination with the skin’s lipids (e.g. cholesterol, ceramids) to keep the skin’s surface supple, firm, and intact.
