ABE’S Bagels is a New Zealand-born brand that makes and distributes bagels. The company is a passion project that started in 1996 by a couple, Megan and Brent, who were obsessed with bagels. They travelled all across the USA, learning everything they possibly could about bagels. They picked up different techniques and tips on how to mix and proof the perfect dough for the ultimate bagel, and took all this know-how back to New Zealand where they opened up a bagel cafe in Auckland. After proving a hit, ABE’S began distributing their bagels across New Zealand, and now also distribute bagels to Australia. Besides bagels, the brand is also infamous for their bagel crisps.
