Clearasil

Clearasil is an American brand and one of the oldest and best known producers of skin care and acne products. The company started in 1950 by inventor Ivan Combe, with the help of a chemist named Kedzie Teller, and was the first dermatological brand that created acne-treating products for young people. Clearasil also stood out at the time because of its pleasant fragrance, while other brands used ingredients like sulfur and garlic. Clearasil’s product range includes acne-fighting treatments as well as preventative products designed for daily use, including Deep Cleansing Scrub, Rapid Action Gel Wash, Rapid Action Pads, and Pimple Clearing Cream. Most of their products use benzoyl peroxide, sulfur, resorcinol, triclosan, or salicylic acid as the active ingredients, as well as artificial fragrances.
