Heinz

Heinz is an American multinational corporation that produces various food products. The company started in 1869 by H.J. Heinz, who began to sell horseradish using his mother’s recipe. After going bankrupt, he launched another company and released Heinz Tomato Ketchup which went on to be a worldwide hit. Heinz was introduced by American miners to Australia in the 1880s. In 1935, the company opened its first factory in Richmond, Victoria and began to manufacture its popular bottled horseradish product, baked beans, and tinned spaghetti. Over the years, the Heinz company acquired many Australian brands like Cottee’s and Golden Circle, and in 2015 it merged with Kraft (now known as Kraft Heinz). Heinz’s most popular products are their range of condiments and tinned foods, including Tomato Ketchup, Beanz, and Soup of the Day range. The company also owns Greenseas, a tuna company, and the Weight Watchers range of food products for weight loss.
