In this case, a short composition doesn’t necessarily equate to a good composition, but it’s not bad either. First of all, this pesto uses an oil of unknown origin when olive oil should be used. Secondly, there is no need to add soy protein concentrate and sugar, unless you want to extend the shelf life or hide something. You can find basil pesto with a better composition than this in stores, but you can use this from time to time if you have no other alternative.
