This product only consists of soybean meal and caramel I. Caramel I is a substance that is considered safe. However, it is obtained from sugar by heating it vigorously to bring out the characteristic golden-brown color. This process causes the substance to lose its naturalness and the sugar has no nutritional properties. Fortunately, it has only been used in a small amount, as seen in the nutrition information.
